A Journey Etched in Gratitude Photography was never just a profession for me—it was a gift, a calling, and a legacy passed down by those who saw something in me before I even recognized it myself. If I trace back to where it all began, the roots firmly rest with two remarkable people—my uncle, C.K. Satyaraj, and my mother, C.K. Mallika. My uncle, then the Chief Accountant in Kuwait, was not just a man of numbers; he was a storyteller, a visual chronicler who lived and breathed photojournalism. His lens captured moments that found a home in Mathrubhumi Weekly, under the editorship of the legendary M.T. Vasudevan Nair, and the Illustrated Weekly of India, during Khushwant Singh’s tenure. He was a freelancer, but his passion was anything but casual. He saw the world through frames, through light and shadow, and most importantly, through an unwavering belief in the power of images. And it was he who saw that spark in me. His faith in my ability went beyond words—it materialized in the form of a Miranda DSLR camera, a gift that changed everything. It wasn’t just a piece of equipment; it was a door to a world I never knew existed. From that moment, there was no looking back. But talent and opportunity alone don’t shape a career. Consistency, discipline, and the resilience to push forward—these came from my mother, the silent force behind every decision I made. Through my teenage years, when distractions were plenty and paths uncertain, she stood by me, shaping my discipline, giving me the confidence to chase my passion relentlessly. Today, both my uncle and my mother are senior citizens. Time has gifted me the privilege of presenting this website—a culmination of years of work, love, and learning—to them. Seeing their eyes light up, watching them scroll through the images that define my journey, was a moment beyond words. It was a circle completed, a tribute to the ones who believed in me before the world did. This isn’t just a platform to showcase my work; it is a testament to the two pillars of my life—one who gave me the vision, and the other who gave me the strength to pursue it. This is as much their journey as it is mine.
